There is no evidence of food or food packaging being associated with transmission of COVID-19, according to the CDC and FDA. If you follow a few simple steps, you can skip the dishes and still eat your favorite restaurant grub. Most of all, you’ll be supporting Santa Barbara and the small restaurants that are likely struggling.
Follow These Steps: Remove food from takeout packaging and serve using your own plate or bowl. Discard all packaging then wash your hands. Use your own fork, knife and napkin. Enjoy.
The Zia Group put together a list of our favorite restaurants and dishes around town. My mouth is watering thinking about all this delicious food! Call ahead to ask about their current takeout schedule or follow on social media.
Before you order, visit the website of another terrific Santa Barbara resource: The Restaurant Guy who is keeping a daily list of all the food delivery services (such as Grubhub and Ubereats), restaurants offering takeout, their own delivery service and curbside pick-up.
